Born as Norma Jeane Mortenson, on June 1, 1926, in L.A. General Hospital, her mother, Gladys, listed the father as address unknown. Norma Jeane would never know the true identity of her father.
The ten images that were painted over a period of 13 months, were created to celebrate her 80th birthday. The "Girls" were on display from May 2, to June 25, 2006, at Frankie Bones Restaurant, on Hilton Head Island. All ten reveal captured moments in the life of Norma Jeane from age 22, until two months before her death, in August, 1962.
Her vulnerability and child-like beauty will always be admired and remembered. Norma Jeane remains a legend never to be duplicated..
